With the beginning of the 1970s Horst G Loewel increasingly developed a critical attitude towards environmental destruction. Knowledge from his biology studies and his research regarding the environmental influences by humans he transferred into the now surrealistic-fantastic oil paintings - often dramatically and gloomily he criticizes in this time the handling of humans with nature and warns of severe long-term consequences.
